The benefit of this fundraiser would be worthwhile for our co curricula programs (Rowing, Cadets and Aerobic programs).Each program provides an environment which builds self-esteem, promotes trust and cooperation and combines fun with discipline and commitment. Families volunteer their services and are a valuable resource within each program. The school community encourages participation through fundraising. Equipment, depreciation and equipment replacement in these programs amount to more than $100,000.The funding would benefit the programs by assisting and introducing disadvantaged students who would be unlikely to have the opportunity to participate. The fundraiser will improve the number of students to the programs so more children will have an equal amount of access to these programs that families otherwise have to pay for. The fundraiser will support the programs by providing equipment that will give our students the best opportunity to discover and achieve their personal strengths and team capacities. A positive of school sports keeps students participating and fosters an understanding of how sport in general can build social cohesion and community identity. This is a great opportunity for students to generate sufficient cash which will benefit the entire student community. Many thanks for the opportunity to submit an expression of interest. We are extremely excited!

I would like to thank Stephen Chew and his wife for personally delivering our tickets, the same day on which I ordered them. Leongatha Primary School is very excited to be involved with this raffle. Whilst supporting Scouts Victoria, it is a fabulous raffle which has great profit earning potential. As well as helping our school to raise funds, people also have the chance of winning a fantastic prize. I hope this raffle is well supported not only by students & parents, but also by the wider community. Thank you to Scouts Victoria for allowing us to come on board.

Wow, what a relief, I was just going through the motions of trying to set up a raffle for fundraising for our school - getting a permit, finding prizes etc.. Then we heard about this great offer that was almost too good to be true. Everything is done for us. Great prizes to offer, tickets printed and we get $1.50 for each ticket. We are thrilled.

On behalf of the Bundoora Primary School and its wider community I would like to say thank you very much for asking for our involvement in putting this wonderful proposal together for all Primary Schools in Victoria. Bundoora will certainly be behind "Our School Raffle", organised by the Scouts Victoria. It is a fantastic offer of $1.50 back from every $2 ticket sold with absolutely no risk or outlay. Bundoora, like so many other Primary Schools welcome the opportunity to relish in this activity as its major fundraiser for 2011, and look forward to ordering 1000 tickets to maximise every sale. I know our School will enjoy hitting the general public in our zone to make sales rather than constantly hitting the school parents' hip pockets. We have already organised 8 local outlets who are prepared to allow us to sell raffle tickets outside their venues. I look forward to a long association with Scouts Victoria in selling "Our School Raffle" tickets.
